2014
Dear Parents/
Guardians,
The purpose of this letter is to introduce
myself and welcome you and your child to 7th grade science.
In my experience as a teacher I have learned many things,
but two factors remain constant – the importance of attendance and homework
completion to academic success. Please see that your child gets ample sleep on
school nights so that they are alert and in attendance each day. Ask to see
their homework, ask them how their work is progressing in class. It is vital
that you show interest in their success on a daily
basis.
In addition to this letter you will receive a copy of my classroom
policies. Please read and discuss them with your child. Then sign and return it
to school with your child as soon as possible. This sheet will count as their
first homework grade. If you have any questions or concerns please do not
hesitate to contact me. I can be reached by email at [email protected] or by calling the school and my
extension is 2711. I will get back to you as soon as possible. Also, if your
child is absent and you would like to check their missed work please visit the
Hampton Bays Middle School website and check out my website. It is important
that we work together to insure your child’s academic
success.
I look forward to meeting you on open house
night!
Sincerely,
Rosemary Haddock
